POGO is a division of Stevens Water Monitoring Systems Inc. Founded in 1911, Stevens is a privately-owned company based in Portland, Oregon, USA. Stevens develops innovative technologies for measuring and monitoring the earth’s valuable water resources in every form it occurs—on the surface, in the air, underground and in the soil.

The POGO Pro and POGO Pro+ are both based on Stevens’ patented HydraProbe soil sensor, originally developed in the late 1990s. HydraProbe uses a unique technology called “Coaxial Impedance” which gives POGO its accuracy and precision in all soils and salinity levels without requiring calibration. HydraProbe is used in more water supply and climatological networks worldwide than any other soil sensor.
